Thank you to everyone who attend the Foundation’s 33rd Annual General Meeting on April 20th at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto.
3 Director’s terms had expired – Earl Campbell, Tim Bossence and Paul Everitt. Mr. Campbell had indicated to the Recruitment Committee his intent to stand for re-election, however Mr. Bossence and Mr. Everitt both indicated they would not. The Recruitment Committee pre-approved the nominations of Mr. Dan Coldwell of PACE Credit Union, and Mr. Joel Lalonde of Your Credit Union. With no other nominations received by the deadline of March 30th, Mr. Campbell, Mr. Coldwell and Mr. Lalonde were all acclimated to the Board at the AGM. The 2012 Outstanding Corporate Achievement Award was presented to Prosperity ONE Credit Union. On hand to accept the award was CEO Mike Shepherd, and Lesley Mansfield, Public Relations Manager. Friend of the Foundation Awards were given to outgoing Directors Tim Bossence and Paul Everitt. The Foundation thanked both gentlemen for their many years of service to the Board.
The audited financial statements for 2011 were approved, and the Foundation thanked Ziad Said, Partner at KPMG for conducting the audit au gratis, and for agreeing to continue as the official auditing firm for 2012.
